The annual YMCA Pear Blossom Run presented by by Asante is held April 12th. The 5K race through downtown Medford starts at 7 am followed by the 1 and 2 mile Fun Runs, with the 10 mile event beginning at 8:20 am. To register, log-on to pearblossomrun.org, benefiting the Rogue Valley Family YMCA. The YMCA "Healthy Kids Day" Open House is the same day from 8 am to 10 am with a free pancake breakfast prior to the Pear Blossom Parade that begins at 11 am.

Join us for our annual birding and nature festival amongst the majestic coastal redwoods of Northern CA and beyond! We will host over 70 field trips, workshops, and events including keynote lectures, a banquet, a silent auction, and family activities. Visit educational and retail vendor booths in our main hall, open free to the public. View over 500 student bird art entries lining the venue walls. Enjoy tasty food by Familia Cafe! On Saturday, April 19, Chillido, a Western Screech Owl, will be onsite from 12 pm to 3:30 pm.
On Friday, April 18, enjoy our free welcome reception (with light refreshments) and listen to a presentation by author and ecologist Michael Kauffmann on "The Klamath Mountains: A Natural History with Michael Kauffmann". Then on Saturday, April 19, following the banquet and closing of the silent auction, join us for a presentation by author, illustrator, and speaker Rosemary Mosco about "Connecting Through Comics: How Humor and Art Make Birding Better". She is the illustrator behind Bird and Moon Comics!

Rock Point Artisan Market will have a visit from the Easter Bunny on the 19th of April from 10:30am-12:30pm. Everyone is welcome to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.In addition, kids can collect eggs from participating vendors with treats inside....
Enjoy a beverage from the Rock Point coffee shop while you browse the vendor booths which include a wide array of products from sourdough bread to jewelry.
Shasta Environmental Alliance is hosting another free Earth Day Festival at Caldwell Park on Saturday, April 19, from 11 AM to 4 PM. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淥ur Power, Our Planet,鈥 highlights the importance of renewable energy and the power of collective action for our environment. Learn more about this theme at earthday.org.
We will have many children鈥檚 activities and games again in addition to live music and food vendors. There will also be many educational booths for adults as well! This is a free, family-friendly event so we hope you鈥檒l join us!
If you鈥檙e part of a nonprofit, community group, government agency, or school, we would love to have you come and table at our event on April 19th or host a movie, class, field trip, etc. during the month of April! This event will remain non-commercial, except for food vendors. Again this year, we kindly ask all exhibitors and food vendors to avoid bringing single-use plastic items.

Celebrate Earth Day 2025 at ScienceWorks!
ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, in collaboration with The Farm at SOU, invites the community to celebrate Earth Day 2025 with an afternoon of hands-on activities, local vendors, and engaging experiences that highlight the science of sustainability. Taking place Friday, April 25, from 3:30 to 7 PM, this outdoor event will be held rain or shine in the ScienceWorks parking lot, plaza, and the SOU Farm grounds next door.
Earth Day is a call to protect our planet for future generations鈥攖his event encourages visitors to learn, explore, and take action for a more sustainable future. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with local environmental organizations, participate in interactive workshops, and discover creative ways to reduce waste and conserve resources.
This event is free and open to the public. While museum admission is not included with the event, guests are encouraged to take part in all the exciting activities happening outside.

Keep the Celebration Going with Shine On Band!Keep the festivities going inside! ScienceWorks will host an after-hours concert featuring Shine On Band, a high-energy tribute to the music of the 1960s and 鈥70s; the live music begins in DaVinci鈥檚 Garage at 6:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on our website. Proceeds from ticket sales support ScienceWorks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, helping to fund free and reduced-cost programming and community events such as Earth Day.
