Beginners and 50+ Yoga ClassBeing held on Mondays and Thursday mornings
This class will provide cigar boxes and materials to create your unique altered box. The wonderful people at The Cigar Cave have provided us with a wealth of boxes in all sizes and shapes from which you can choose. Other materials such as flowers, shells, chipboard, and other surprises will be included. If you happen to have some favorite scrapbook-type papers you would like to incorporate, please feel free to bring them.

Celebrate National Poetry Month by Awakening the Poet Within in our series of Poetry for All Workshops this April! Whether you are already a poet, are aspiring to be one, or just want to live life in the present moment and set yourself free, this is the workshopfor you. Join Evonne Ellis, MFA in Creative Writing, and Kayla Marie Figard, librarian, naturalist, and California Poet Teacher in training, for one workshop or all four in a deep dive of how to unleash your inner poet. We will cover words and imagery, waking up the senses and nature inspiration, elements of sound and repetition, and exploration into the energy of poetry. Each workshop will feature some instruction about craft, time to play with craft through prompts, and opportunity to reflect and share. No experience necessary! The South Coast Folk Society will host a free public Dance Party in Bandon on Saturday evening, December 17, from 7-9:30pm. Singles, couples and families, dancers all ages, are all welcome to enjoy a casual evening of social dance at this popular monthly event. No experience is required. There will be live music and recorded music, plus dance instruction.
The South Coast Dance Party will feature a wonderful variety of enjoyable dances from America and around the world. We meet at the Bandon Senior Activity Center, located on West 11th in City Park. The center will be filled with the sound of local musicians playing traditional tunes, plus beautiful recorded music, and, of course, happy dancers. Join us on the dance floor, or relax to great music.
Many thanks to the Bandon Senior Center for hosting the Dance Party in their spacious activity room. Save the date for this fun evening. Doors open at 6:45, dancing starts at 7. The South Coast Folk Society invites all dancers, and would-be dancers, to our free fitness class every Monday morning at 9:00AM in North Bend. Women and men, young and old, are all encouraged to join the fun as we learn a variety of invigorating beginner-friendly dances from the United States and around the world. Singles, couples, and drop-ins are all welcome. No prior experience or partner needed.
We meet every Monday for this popular social gathering. Each class is special, so please come when you can. Skilled instructors will guide you every step of the way. The dances are easy to learn and appropriate for all ages. It鈥檚 a great opportunity to enjoy beautiful music and joyful movement in a friendly social environment.
We meet at the North Bend Senior Center for this free weekly class. The center is located at 1470 Airport Lane in North Bend and open to all ages. Casual clothes are recommended, and comfortable dancing shoes. The class features dances from America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Dance styles include circle dances, line dances, partner dances and sets. All are basic beginner level dances, fun to do and easy to learn.
