Under the direction of ÀÏ·ò×Ó´«Ã½ Director, Paul French, the 65-voice choir will showcase a diverse
repertoire spanning centuries and cultures, featuring works by renowned composers Eric
Whitacre, John Rutter, and Composer-in-Residence Jodi French.
Highlights of the upcoming concerts include:
- Performances in multiple languages, including French, Norwegian, Hebrew, and many shades
of English, including Medieval English, Scots English, and modern English.  
- Guest appearance by the Grants Pass High School Concert Choir
- An innovative program ranging from 14th-century compositions to contemporary art music
- Accompaniment by an exceptional ensemble of local musicians
-- Two high-energy pieces by English composer Toby Young, who collaborates with artists such
as the Rolling Stones and Duran Duran.

The South Coast Folk Society will host a free public Dance Party in Bandon on Saturday evening, December 17, from 7-9:30pm. Singles, couples and families, dancers all ages, are all welcome to enjoy a casual evening of social dance at this popular monthly event. No experience is required. There will be live music and recorded music, plus dance instruction.

The South Coast Dance Party will feature a wonderful variety of enjoyable dances from America and around the world. We meet at the Bandon Senior Activity Center, located on West 11th in City Park. The center will be filled with the sound of local musicians playing traditional tunes, plus beautiful recorded music, and, of course, happy dancers. Join us on the dance floor, or relax to great music.

Many thanks to the Bandon Senior Center for hosting the Dance Party in their spacious activity room. Save the date for this fun evening. Doors open at 6:45, dancing starts at 7. The 2022 farmers market season opens in Siskiyou County Monday, May 16, from 3:30 to 6 pm on East Castle Street in downtown Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a convenient way for community members to buy food directly from growers and producers in a beautiful outdoor setting with live music. Christmas Eve Candlelight and Holy Communion Dec. 24 at 7 pm

Experience the joy of congenial social dancing to great live music at a public dance in North Bend Saturday the 28th of December. All dancers are welcome at the Bay Area Contra Dance starting at 6:00pm. This special event is sponsored by the South Coast Folk Society and will be held in the Community Room of the North Bend Senior Center. Join us for a light-hearted community gathering appropriate for teens and adults. There will be live music all evening, plus dance instruction and calling. This event is free, and open to everyone from age 12 up. New dancers are always welcome. No prior experience or partner is required at this alcohol and fragrance free event.

Contra Dancing is joyful and easy to learn, like an old-time barn dance. It’s a delightful way to dance and socialize to invigorating music. Come swing your partner and do-si-do to the foot-stomping music of the Outstanding Open Band. Instructors Lorie Bunyard and Paul Poresky will provide a new dancer lesson at 6:00pm, and expert dance calling all evening. Wear casual clothes and comfortable dance shoes. Please join us on the dance floor, or relax and enjoy fine music.

Many thanks to the North Bend Senior Activity Center for hosting the monthly Bay Area Contra Dances. The tables will be cleared to make room for dancers and musicians in this spacious facility. The center is open to all ages and is located at 1470 Airport Lane in North Band. Save the date. Doors open at 5:45, lesson at 6, dancing 6:30. There will be refreshments available all evening.
