Gold Dust Day: Celebrating 100 years of Gold Hill Heritage

Gold Dust Day: Celebrating 100 years of Gold Hill Heritage

The town of Gold Hill has been celebrating its rich heritage at the annual Gold Dust Day festival for more than 70 years. While the people and features may have changed over time, there’s nothing better than a big parade, marching bands, car show, crafts and historic exhibits that draw thousands to Gold Hill every year on the first Saturday in June. Lori Hettman, with the Gold Hill Community Development Organization (Can-DO) tells of Gold Dust Days of yesteryear and today and the important community groups that keep the annual event fun for all. Get ready to have fun at the 2025 Gold Dust Day celebration beginning Friday June 6, 2025

This program is sponsored by the Gold Hill Historical Society thanks in part to an Oregon Heritage grant in 2024. The Gold Hill Historical Society Museum is located at 504 1st Avenue in Gold Hill and is open Thursday – Saturday, from noon to 4p.
