Are your emotional reactions to events pretty much like they were when you were four years old?  You should hope not. 

The change signifies your maturity, but also might serve as a demonstration of how our emotions develop with our intellect.  We know far more about where in the brain and mind emotions come from, and Lisa Feldman Barrett pulls in recent discoveries in the book . 

For one thing, scientists now think no single emotion comes from one single part of the brain.  We hear more in this interview from 2017.
