As of late last night, voters in the North State weren’t voting for a change in leadership, with most incumbent members of Congress, State Senate and the State Assembly poised for re-election.
In California’s First Congressional District, Republican Doug LaMalfa led Democrat Audrey Denney, 53 to 49 percent.
In the Second Congressional District, Democrat Jared Huffman was way ahead of Republican Dale Mensing, 79 to 21 percent.
In the State Senate, First District Republican Brian Dahle held a ten-point lead over Democrat Pamela Swartz. In Senate District Two, incumbent Democrat Bill Dodd led with 74 percent of the vote to challenger Carlos Santamaria’s 26 percent.
In the California Assembly, incumbents Megan Dahle, Jim Wood and James Gallagher all held comfortable leads in their districts.
Results are yet to be finalized.
