JPR Live Session: Clem Snide

Aired 5-29-2020

Since it's forming in early 1990s, the band Clem Snide has been through a number of lineup changes, and even a breakup. Throughout, primary singer and songwriter Eef Barzelay has been a constant. After releasing a pair of excellent solo albums, Barzelay has just released a new album under the Clem Snide name called Forever Just Beyond. He joined us from his home in Nashville for a JPR Live (from afar) Session.

It was a chance meeting with Scott Avett (Avett Brothers) that set the path for Clem Snide's newest release. Unknown to Barzelay, Avett was a fan of the band (even occasionally covering Clem Snide songs on tour), and expressed interest in helping craft a new album. Avett helped Barzelay lay down a collection of songs that question some of life's larger and sometimes unanswerable questions.
