Rogue Valley Seniors Share How They’re Coping With 'Social Isolation'

Courtesy of Elisabeth Zinser
Elisabeth Zinser is among those seniors in the Rogue Valley self-isolating at home so they don't contract COVID-19, the new coronavirus.

Older adults are at higher risk for illnesses from COVID-19. So, many people over 65 years old are isolating themselves at home, even more than the rest of us.

ÀÏ·ò×Ó´«Ã½â€™s Erik Neumann spoke with Rogue Valley seniors Augusta Lucas-Andreae, Andrea Gay, Larry Hunter and Elisabeth Zinser to hear how they’re coping with isolation while staying at home because of the new coronavirus.

Erik Neumann is JPR's news director. He earned a master's degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and joined JPR as a reporter in 2019 after working at NPR member station KUER in Salt Lake City.
