The sentencing of Jeremy Christian has been postponed again, according to the Multnomah Circuit Court.

Originally scheduled in March and rescheduled for June 18, the court is working out logistics and looking for a new date. This is the second time Christian鈥檚 sentencing has been rescheduled following the coronavirus outbreak.

鈥淎s you can imagine, the COVID-19 situation has made it very difficult to hold proceedings in which many parties want to be present,鈥 said Rachel McCarthy, public information analyst for Multnomah Circuit Court.

After a monthlong trial in February, of the 2017 double murder on a TriMet MAX train, along with other crimes including first-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault.

Christian could face a prison sentence of life without the possibility of parole. At minimum, he faces at least life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years.
