The people at the in Myrtle Point saw an opportunity to step up and do what they do best.
The library staff, all 2.5 of them, took seriously their position as a community resource, and went far beyond providing books. School supplies, food, backpacks for school kids; these and more ended up moving through the little library to meet the needs of the community.
