The federal endangered species list contains animals and plants listed as either "threatened," or the more severe category, "endangered."
The recent listing of Franklin's bumble bee took it straight to endangered status, and even that may be too light. Because no one has seen a Franklin's bumble bee in 15 years.
The bee is found (or was) only in our region, on both sides of the Siskiyou Mountains. Both the and the celebrate the listing. But both are concerned it comes too late to save the animal.
Rich Hatfield from Xerces and Quinn Read from CBD are our guests.
