What does a guy who's 400 years old and fictional have to offer kids in today's world? A lot, it turns out. Especially if the old guy is Don Quixote and the kids are from a rough part of Brooklyn, many of them fearing being deported.
Their teacher, Stephen Haaf, is Robert Goodwin's guest in this month's edition of The Keenest Observers. Haaf assembled an after-school reading program to get past a rough part of his own life, and led the students in translating the book into a musical.
